What do you get when the energy and defense departments get together? (The Story of FMC Technologies)
A couple of years ago when Technip and FMC Technologies separated after a brief fling together, I may have been the only person in the world that was really excited about it.
The business was hemorrhaging cash, project charges were abundant and from Technip’s perspective, it was probably one of the worst deals in oilfield equipment history.
Why was I so excited about the separation?
It was time to fire up some of these charts about subsea trees that have been sitting on the ocean floor.
