Thank you for the kind compliments TMacro06.

I agree. There are so many constraints put on sell side (and buy side) analysts these days.

Pressure for more management access events, pressure for more IB deals, pressure to cover 40+names.

Regulations (MIFID) make it harder to get compensated properly.

This just leads to either burnout or finding another avenue in which to pursue one's passion.

Thanks, and I have known Doug for many many years. I would like to catch up sometime to discuss your journey to here and I am considering mine as a refugee, so to speak, from the Street. In the meantime, please keep up the great work, Tom

It's a great read and a blue print to any analyst on how to be differentiated covering any sector. Plus some awesome stories that were at the center of global oil macro at the time.

You might also want to look at publishing on EklipX https://research.eklipx.io/ aswell. I post my articles there too and there's a few other Substackers.

Great book!

I bought it after hearing your recommendation on Kontrarian Korner and read it in a day- couldn't put it down.

Any idea where one could find pdfs of Terreson's original super major reports?

I've come up empty on the google.

Hey Rob, do you have a recommendation for an online resource with historical annual reports besides the company investor pages?

Not just the 10Ks but the actual full report. Most companies have the last 10 years or so but once you get to around the mid 00s (or a company that was bought out) they become very hard to find.

I’d like to build myself a personal archive of them one day. Going to start with digital versions for now.
